Baby is a...

Last Saturday, I set up a small gender reveal for Tala, Kael and the rest of the family. I was already set from the very beginning that I wanted to do a gender reveal for them because I didn't mind knowing right away :) Also I thought it was more fun that way.

A few days after I got my blood drawn for the NIPT test, my mom asked if I could do the gender reveal for all of them. So as soon as I found out the results, I started to plan it.

At first I thought of getting a cake they could slice into but since I really only had two days to plan, I decided to check the party supply store if they had a balloon I could get and they did! That's the big black one on the side :) It even came with confetti you just stuff in the balloon. I got the printable banner off Etsy and cut them in the office during my free time (which is a lot right now haha).

The next morning, Reg and I headed to the party supply store in BF to get the balloon blown up and bought more blue and pink balloons to add to the decor. The black balloon could be bigger but I decided to stop at that size since Tala and Kael will definitely not like the noise it will make (they're really sensitive to loud noises). It was a good thing too, because I had forgotten we had the small car with us that day. Any bigger and the balloon would have been flying out the window on the way home :p The old ladies in the party store were really nice and even made a special stick for us to poke the balloon!

Tala and Kael were super excited when we got home. I set everything up then waited for everyone to come downstairs. We convinced Tala to stand with us under the balloon but she had her hands covering her ears and she was feeaking out a little, sigh. Kael stayed across us, sticking to T'Inna with his hands covering his ears.

Reg popped the balloon for us! And now we all know that baby is a baby girl! :) It took Tala a while to react (we think she was still recovering from the balloon popping) while Kael immediately jumped up and down ("my favorite!!"he said). Granma, T'Inna, Tita A and Gramps had to be told because they were standing across us to take photos and videos and they couldn't really see the pink confetti haha.

Both Tala and Kael were really hoping for a baby girl. A few weeks ago, Tala told me that she thought God listens to her. Because she used to say "baby, baby, baby" and now we have a baby in my tummy. So she was going to start saying "girl, girl, girl." After the balloon popped she said, "God heard me!!" :) Kael also said he would love a girl cos baby boys are cranky (HAHAHA). While waiting for everybody that day, he also told us that he "likes girls cos they're cute! I like cute girls!" :D

The gender reveal was definitely fun and I'm glad that I got to do it for everyone :)
