35 weeks and a check-up

My ultrasound and doctor's appointment was set for tomorrow but I ended up going today because I was feeling some pain in my lower abdomen last night and I wanted to ask about it. On the way there, Reg got a text saying that he had a briefing tomorrow at 11 so we decided to check if we could move our whole appointment today instead. Well, it was possible to get everything done today so we finished everything today.

From our ultrasound, we found:
1) Baby is already 6lbs and 7oz at this time! Yay! I may not have gained that much weight (only gained about 3lbs) so I'm glad to know that he's the one who's been gaining weight these past two weeks. As it should be!

2) We also have our latest photo! They were kind enough to suggest to me earlier to wait for a 4D machine so I can see baby clearly. Reg and I were able to see him, even though it was a bit difficult because he's bigger now and he's starting to really press against my tummy (no more room to move). Even with that though, we saw his face, we saw him moving his hands and we were able to get a photo. It made me happy that we got to do this even though our souvenir photo is still a standard black and white one since I was so sad we didn't get to do the 4D earlier. It turns out we weren't going to miss out on that experience after all.

So there's our boy on the left :) He's chubby and malikot. Haha. The first few shots I saw earlier, I thought he kinda looked like Tala. In this photo, according to my parents, he looks like his daddy :)

So all is well with baby boy. YAY!

From our doctor's check up:
1) We did our first IE today :-s While our doctor says she can already feel baby's head, I haven't dilated yet. Thank goodness.

2) Starting next week, my 36th week, I am off bedrest! I can even go back to work. Since I am ok to give birth 37th week, I can start walking around during my 36th week. I have another check up Thursday next week to see if there's progress - if I've dilated. We still think I'll give birth 37th week because that's what happened with Tala. To be honest, I would want to give birth by then. Anyway, Reg has a strong feeling that it might be sometime late next week daw. Let's see if he's still correct. He called Tala's birth accurately, I just didn't believe him. haha

Well, we've been putting off packing our things so we should really get that done by this weekend.

Well that's it! Oh about that pain I was feeling? It's gone. It was probably just gas (how annoying).

So, here we go! Last stretch these two weeks methinks!
