33 weeks and a doctor's appointment

We are 33 weeks today! Today was also our doctor's appointment. I was hoping I would be told that I could go out of the house now, even just for a little while, but no. Oh well. Here's the recap:

1) I lost 7 pounds. And take note, this is two weeks out of the hospital already and I've already started to eat. Granted, not as much as I did before being hospitalized because I feel like I get full very easily and my stomach gets incredibly full and uncomfy so I try not to eat so much. Makes me wonder how much I weighed when I was discharged. I should've weighed myself. Anyway, my doctor was worried about the amount of weight I lost because it might mean that the baby isn't so big right now. My last ultrasound did say that the baby's weight is just right for his age but she wants to make sure that if ever I do give birth before my due date, baby is at least 6 pounds (or nearly there. I mean, Tala was 5lbs 15oz!)

So the solution? Nido (again!) for the next two weeks until the next doctor's appointment where we also have a ultrasound to do.

2) Like I mentioned above, I'm still on bedrest. I am off Duvadilan, and it's only for when I feel like I'm contracting now. I guess I'll find out in two weeks if I can be more mobile na. We're just making sure I don't give birth too early. I'm starting to get used to this bedrest thing. I've a routine at home - which is really not much - but it helps make the day go faster for me. In fact, the weeks have been flying by even though I'm not doing a lot :p

Last Sunday, my family took pity on me and came back for me after mass so we can all have lunch together. We were able to do this by picking a restaurant near our home and it was not in a mall so I didn't really have to walk a distance to get there. Reg basically just drove practically right up to the door and I went straight to sit at our table. I was able to eat a bit more than usual (I guess I'm starting to get sick of food from home. I mean, I barely eat at home normally anyway) and I felt so much better and bit more energized because I was out. Reg and I were discussing earlier that we can probably do that again, there are a lot of restaurants around our area to try where I don't need to walk a lot to get there.

That's basically it, actually. I also did a blood test for my kidney doctor today. My potassium levels are still normal, my sodium levels have improved (although a point below normal range) but my carbon dioxide levels, which were within normal range before, are now three points below normal. I'm not sure what this implies. I'm going to give him a call tomorrow before I make my way back to his clinic again. He did mention that if my potassium levels were still normal, there was no need to go back. However, he never said anything about the others :p

And that's where we are now at 33 weeks. As I mentioned on a FB status, if baby boy is a lot like his Ate Tala, this means I only have four weeks left till he gets here!
